69hurstolds , were inner fender splash aprons a factory part on the Cutlass? I didn't see any evidence that my Grand Prix ever had them.
agreed, i checked my two calais', solon, wagon and caballero. i also checked several extra fender wells, none have them and never had them.

Almost all A/G-47 G-body Cutlass cars came from the factory with splash shields since 1981 at least, to my knowledge.

Interesting I see that 85-88 that ALL G-body Cutlass had the splash shields according to the parts book. 4.3 and 350N diesel had them from 80-84.

Hmmm. Why not 3.8 V6 or 5.0 V8? I know my 84 H/O had them. And still has them. There's that 4800 mile 84 H/O and....there they are!

GM p/n 22501416. Fits either side. 2 required. Some assembly required (tongue and groove flap to make the front corner). Tongue goes in over the other flap and into the slot effectively hiding the tongue from view.

Needs the plastic Christmas tree push pins too. GM p/n 480534. Roundhead black. Newer ones are like a hammer head shark. I believe 12 or so will do it. EDIT: Had wrong part number originally.

If anyone needs help on how to assemble, I can take some installed pics of my own sh*t if you like.

Best I can find on the Grand Prix it appears there's an insulator 'flap' of some sort near the rear of the fender. Kind of like a rear fender seal?? I'm not sure. You've dealt with the radio antenna before so you probably know the flap I'm trying to describe. But no inner fender splash shield to speak of.

Quick question on weather stripping. Will the door weather stripping from a 4 door 1986 Cutlass fit the 4 passenger doors on a 1979 Malibu wagon?

Splash shield on my 87.

Oh, and found a pic of how the corner is supposed to be folded (in this case, passenger side). Just flip it for the driver side. Interestingly, I looked at the 85 and the tongue was ran underneath to be sticking OUT. Derp!!!!! That 80s quality!!!

Front doors appear to be the same p/n, 20008186 and 20008187. Rear doors are not. Rear 86 cutlass is 20008190 and 20008191. Rear for A19-35 Mailbu is 20008192 and 20008193. I do NOT know the differences.
