I actually have a 200-4r from a GN sitting in the garage. But this swap includes the ecu controlled 4L60e so that will be the plan of attack.

Previously I did an od upgrade in 73 vette. I went with the 200 in that case. It was setup nice and worked well.

yes but where's he suppose to find cooter's tow truck?that's all the way in hazard county..

😂. Here’s an alternative. And you’ll see they get it done quick!

I am glad to see another LT swap, I am doing a LT1 swap in my Cutlass, the engine I bought came with a stand-alone harness and ECM so I will be using the 200r4 with my swap. That way I won’t have to worry about buying gauges and my speedo will work.... lol I look fwd to seeing your progress.

Exactly, much better. The 700R4/4L60E has weak spots no amount of money or parts fix.

I know with the ECM that is the reason the 4L60E is being used. Many of us don't care for them for a good reason, they die under decent power and abuse, often. Hopefully you get lucky, like it was a recent rebuild with upgrades. I know the last one I had was a good low mile rebuild. The 4L60E it replaced was a GM that had the dreaded weak reverse and a bunch of clutch material in the pan. It did see towing which always the death of these trans. Hopefully you get lucky.

Part of the bad rap 700r4 (4l60) gets is due to overheating and incorrect TV cable adjustment. We'll throw a good aux cooler on this one and make sure the ECU is programmed right. Early part throttle upshifts are bad. We can avoid that through programming. We can prevent it from overheating with a good cooler. On top of that we'll flush it out and refill with full synthetic. Beyond that, I understand brute power can break something. As long as we don't run tires that are too sticky, the tires themselves will be the fuse to protect the trans in the form of wheel spin.
