Will any other GM manual steering gear box work in a G-body? What about one from 1971 Nova

Could you explain a bit more clearly? What do you mean by "any other"? And what do you mean by "old Nova"? Are you talking about using a gearbox from an old Nova, or putting a gearbox in an old Nova? How old are you talking about when you say "old Nova"? Are you talking about a 3 speed or 4 speed? Saginaw or Muncie? Some specifics would be helpful. If you were to do a search on this site, MonteSS.com, MalibuRacing.com, or almost any other G body site, you could probably find the info you're looking for. Just saying.

He asked the same question in a steering box thread. It's probably not a transmission inquiry. :?:

To answer your question, no, I don't think that a manual steering box from a 1971 Nova will work in a G body. The Nova has a completely different steering setup than the G body. I believe that a manual steering box from an S10 will work. Once again, if you do a search on this site, or other G body sites, you should be able to find the info you're looking for. Good luck.
