So I threw my dad's edelbrock 750 on it.. holy crap. Huge difference. I made sure the car was straight and stomped on it at about 10mph. Broke both back tires free and I had to back off to get them to stop going into third gear. Trying to sell my 600 now and get a 750 for myself. Car has all kinds of revealed power now. I read the comment about trying to stay with the smallest carb for the application, this one didnt lose any bottom end power. The front end doesnt drop until you let off the gas now.

So today it rained around 4pm. And it mainly sprinkled not much more so when I got out at 5 it was damp. Not wet enough to spray water off the car but wet enough to where it isnt dry. The speed limit goes from 50 to 55 and I usually jump on it to like 65 because ya know, who doesnt like to feel their car pull? Well mine didnt pull. It kicked into third from overdrive and both tires lit right up. I think this 750 is what I need. I bought one for myself off ebay that has the choke plate drilled out for more flow. Also, I never use the choke anyway.. even in the dead of winter

kickass... cant wait to hear what your car runs with the 750

I cant wait either but it might be a while. Nearest track is leicester NY which is about a two hr drive for me.. but it seems like we stuck a whole new motor to the 350 now. So much more torque and high rpm power.. and NO hesitation at all. Can go from idle to right to the floor and it instantly lights up the tires. Perfect carb for the motor

I understand this is an older post but I had almost the same set up on my 85 Cutty a couple of years ago. sbc 350, .30 over, edelbrock 600, 96 vortec heads, 268 extreme energy cam, a very strong 700r that I'm still running, with 3.73's; I ran my best times with 12psi in my rear tires (slicks) never ran 1/4 my 1/8th was 8.4X all day it was an awesome motor!
