got it fixed!
the 1st bulb worked and the break was after that one.
I took a wire and wired into the light socket of the 1st and second bulb.
then I made sure I plugged the sockes in the same direction.
works great now.
I tapped the wire down and silicone the wire where it went into the sockets.
thanks for all of the help!
there was another break I found.i saw a redneck repair on line and tried it and it seems to work fine now.i drilled for a tiny screw on each side of the break and ran a wire between the screws.
I switched to a gage type oil pressure sending unit but the light one had a plug with 2 wires.do I just find the side that works and put a single connector on it and cut the others?

You only need one wire for the gauge type sending unit. You just need to determine which wire you have pinned in your connector for the oil pressure gauge. The light sender had two wires because it acts as an on/off switch (pressure sensitive) for the oil light.
