My 83' Monte came with the CL option so it had a lot of chrome and a half vinyl top, as you can see I removed the chrome and the vinyl top and did a couple other modifications while I was at it.😉

565bbchevy, do you happen to have a picture of your door glass to body? Ir looks like you removed the drip rail chrome along the pillar to the drip rail? I've been thinking of doing this but leaving the drip rail intact. I'm trying to also figure out how the window to body seal on the door will look without that trim in place before I commit to it.

It's still there just painted black.

Hi all, I'm sort of new ( super lurker).

I'm trying to make a decision on my 83 Monte LS. Keep the rocker chrome or delete it all (grind nubs down, plastic fill / patch rear bumper). I'm trying to see if anyone else has done this or if I'm just super crazy for wanting to try this. I can't picture it so does anyone have pictures of an LS without rocker chrome painted... maybe in a silver or charcoal? Thanks!

Alex

While you are at it ..... paint your window trim, door handles, lock cylinders......etc. with SEM semi gloss black......or find monte ss pieces. IMO....on these cars, the more chrome you remove.... the better they look.
