Taking it to the track on the first of April to see where I stand now, then put the Mickey Thompson E/T Streets on another pair of Ralleys. Optamistic of mid-thirteen runs this summer.

You should get some alum wheels and lighten it up some.

Nice looking Montes! I like the cowl hood on the first one and I love the color on the second one.

How fast and or quick do you think it will go in the 1/4 mile or 8th mile? Should go pretty good. Have you weighed it at all? Just curios on how much it weighs with everything you have under the hood.

3450 on the scale at the quarry near me, however accurate that is, and it ran a 14.220 1/4 mile with a 2.03 60 foot time last night. Drag radials will be here next week. If anybody else wants to meet up next Tuesday night at Gateway test and toon.

The blue 86 SS just pictured looks awesome. I just painted my 87 Olds 442 and that is the color/look I was trying for. It came out a little lighter but still looks great with the silver bottom & gold stripes. I was good with it comeing out with a lighter than original blue but I wanted it to be darker than it is. I'll post pics when I can.

Drag radials and a better 60 foot should get you that 13. What was your mph? Curious with the LT1 & overdrive have you checked the mileage yet?

MPH was 94.27 on the 14.220 run, it needs a tune I am bouncing off the rev limiter as it shifts into third. As far as mileage I checked it with the worn trans last year when we drove up to Kansas City for the Super Chevy Show and it got 18mpg and I was in it pretty good

14.22 sounds good relative to the mph especially when you see the 60 foot. What is your rev limiter set at? When my GN was box stock original first time I had ever been to a drag strip it ran a best of 13.96 at 98mph. I don't remember what my 60s were but with the crappy little 215s it was probably like 2.2.

18mpg probably is not bad with 3.73s especially if you have shorter 26" tires. I got 17mpg with the Olds but I'm satisfied with that as its with a 509ci that runs 110mph out the back door. Looking at all the guys with bigger cams, a square bore carb, and a 3 speed getting 10ish mpg at $3+ a gallon I'm glad I set mine up as I did.
