I went back and read the original posts that started this battle. The original aurgument was that a car with those big wheels could out run a drag car. Now, I haven't seen one vid backing up that statement. What I have seen is vids of cars with drag tires on them at the track and running the car that way. Qdub24 I will give you the fact that the Caprice that you posted with the supercharger on it is fast. However, in all the runs that are an 1/8th mile track it never shows any times for it. Do you know what it runs I was curious? Well, all the other vids are of that same car. The one against the SS Monte was a win but the SS had no traction and he caught him at the end also. The Caprice had the big tires on it and allowed him to take off without over powering those big tires. This is mine and a few other peoples point. The car isn't going to go to the track and run the big tires and outrun a drag car with those tires.

Don't get me wrong there are some cars that I like with the big tires on them to a certain size tire. I just am voicing my opinion of what I see. Show me a vid of a car at the track with big 26"-30" tires on it that is outrunning a drag car at the track. Not one with drag tires on it outrunning it. I don't think you will find one.

Hell no. You right 406monte. The cars with those big wheels and tires are not gonna hook if they got a good amount of power. This big tires too hard. Only way they are gonna hook is if they got a motor thats not really making any power. I know qdub24 said that with suspension work they may hook. I doubt it. Its still gonna spin regardless. I've never seen a big wheel and tires car hook unless they gotta BS motor or no good rear end.

Actually 406monte, the last 3 vids are an entirely different Caprice from ATL. However, I'd like to retract my previous statement. Buddy with the MC SS from Bama will probably outrun a few drag cars, but not with the rims on. I hope that makes you feel better.

It's not about making me feel better. I am sure that there are alot of real fast big wheeled cars out there. I am just trying to say that they aren't going to do what was stated about those cars outrunning a drag car on big tires. How bout this in this situation we are actually both right. I am pretty sure that on big tires they most likely won't out run a drag car. But, if you were to put on drag tires like you said they just might do it. End state is we are both right. 8)

That "sick" engine sure isn't gonna last long running it with no air filter. the more sand it sucks the more f'd that engine is gonna get..... lotta money to waste on stupidity in my opinion.

And he's useing my super trick engine torque strap idea- a big MF chain. Don't laugh- it saves the motor mounts.
