I did already repin all but one pink and black wire. The problem is that the connector doesnt reach over to the speedo cluster... BUT I have not unwrapped the harness. Maybe if i do they might reach. Fingers Crossed. The speedo cluster has two grounds. The monte has one for everything. The other GP cluster for the fuel, temp, oil, etc. also needs a ground as well as the illumination and two more ignition wires. I'm just gonna splice those in using the old pontiac wires and pins from the other harness.

the harness for the gauges has two pink & blk wires. From left to right they sit in the second slot one on top and one on the bottom row of each other and are the power source for the circuit board...the first wire on the left top is the pink and that's for the fuel guage, the grey wire under the pink wire is for the lights.....the tan wire on the top that is right of the pink with black is for the oil pressure and the green one beside that is for temp. The two grounds are two wires on the right bottom. I just changed out my gauges for autometers so I'm pretty sure I have the set up right. If need be I can pull of the dash panel to check it out.

No hard feelings here just busting chops that's all. Sorry for hijacking, no harm meant I just have seen hundreds of threads that use GP parts for this and for that, but I've just never seen a thread where a Grand Prix owner says he wants to swap out his beautiful crack free dash with full gauge package for a Monte Carlo plain jane dash with idiot lights and cracks all over. Or maybe swap out the nice GP bucket seats with console for a Chevy split bench grandpa seat? I just find it amusing that Chevy is more popular and more abundant but was not made as luxurious as Pontiacs were that's all. Why was it that hardly any Chevy's or Olds or Buick's were made with bucket seats and console and with a full gauge dash package? And not to mention the beefier front and rear sway bars and all the extra under hood and rear trunk bracing that the GP's have. If you ask me they terminated the wrong GM division I'm just pissed at GM (government motors) this administration for cancelling my favorite brand PONTIAC!

Another Pontiac Grand Prix being raped for it's parts. Everybody likes to take Grand Prix parts and put them on their plain Gbody's to make it nicer, but nobody likes the car itself!?? If GM did it right the first time they would have made all the other Gbody's with all Pontiac parts which in my opinion are far more stylish. Just my 2 cents thrown in there for all the GP haters.

I sure am glad I didn't take Grand Prix parts 😛 ! Thankfully, I got my parts (dash, console, buckets, heat shield for the AC box, aluminum core support, aluminum bumper supports, and the front clip) from a 1978 Grand Am  ! Actually from 2 Grand Am's that were to be scrapped out 🙁

Doug.
It's all still Pontiac, which is my point, all their models were as nice as the next one!

This doesn't help either. Beautiful GP at the yard this passed weekend. Must've had a blown motor or trans cause this thing was clean.

Well you are lucky being down there in Texas where all the cars are dry and mostly rust free or close to it. That GP is in nice shape!

No hard feelings. It's all in good fun. many of our cars are a conglomeration of parts from other assorted GM models. I guess you could say that we're looking for the best and coolest parts from all models. That's the beauty of the G-body cars...the interchangeabilty of parts.
I couldn't agree with you more about Pontiacs having some of sportiest interiors out of these cars. I'm glad to see that your own car is Pontiac powered...kudos to you, man.
I was disappointed to see GM discontinue the Pontiac models. What the heck were they thinking??

Awwwww! How cute...

I'm just taking whatever parts I can to save this car I have. But I do really like the Pontiac interior. I never see g body pontiacs around my area. I remember my grandpa had an 80s two door bonneville when I was very young. I loved that car
