Car has never been on a dyno, but the previous owner estimates the car at 400hp and 475 tq. Not crazy numbers but these mounts didnt last long.....2 months on the car and probly driven 15 times before they broke

Those are crazy numbers, especially the torque...............unless you have a 455.

Maybe by next year i will have the car in a condition where i can trust it more and drive it a few hours to do a dyno test.

If you’re talking RWHP then those numbers are reeeeeaaaalllly good. Even for a stout 455. If you are happy with the way it runs then I would not suggest getting it dynoed.

After these mounts are put on, I will be a happy man 😁. I'm sure it will feel different with the motor not moving and having the new carb

I believe the torque numbers. I don't know if it is the long, small intake runners, flat 6 degree valve angle thatc likes a lot of timing or heavy reciprocating assembly but the Olds V8 makes low end torque. The sbc and LS fall short IMHO in low end torque. The horsepower numbers may be wishful thinking unless the 4A heads had some porting. They are 190/120 unported stock, not very good. With many hours of porting 235/170.

I'd have to see it to believe it, that a engine with that short of a stroke would make 475 RWTQ. A 455 yes, a 425 probably, a 400 or 403 or smaller nope.

That is probably at the crank. J+S Machine did an Edelbrock aluminum head 403 with 3.5" stroker 421 ci, over 500 hp and well over 500 ft/lbs, want to say 550 ft/lb of torque at the crank. There is your 475 RWTQ number right there.
