Motor wont run unless timming is advanced help!

OK so my 350 Wont run unless the timing is advanced quite a bit I checked the rotor for #1 tdc its on point motor just stalls out when I turn the distributor idk if the chain is off a tooth or what any ideas? I'm fried right now

350 carb set up motor won't run unless its advances and stumbles like its misfiring when on the gas running like sh"t

Don't know bought it this way its one of the many issues I'm addressing 1 by 1 the more I advance it the better it runs but no more room to turn the cap and it shouldn't be that advanced anyway

I would start with setting the timing up from scratch, make sure you have #1 set up on the compresssion stroke and that all your plug wires are correct.

Did that already order is fine and rotor is pointing at num 1 at tdc compression wouldn't be a rotor or cap would it I just changed the plugs 2 weeks ago and no change

When i pulled the plugs today I did notice number 7 was quite dirtier than the others were

If it runs good really far advanced and still has the original harmonic balancer the outer ring could have spun a little changing the timing marks.
