Have any of you ran one these caps?. It looks nice and stops the crossing of wires at the distributor...

that's for a vortec era motor, isn't it? If you have a standard HEI distributor, that won't work....

I don't know why it wouldn't work? Seems like the only way to go as there is little/no difference in price.

It is pretty but probably will not match integrity of OEM or Delco. If you like it and it looks cool on your ride
Go for it

I have all msd ignition on my car and no complaints. The e curve distributor I have has an issue that the rev limiter has stopped working so that will go in for repairs this winter, delco is now made in china

I heard the quality of them isn't that good but I don't think they were using the MSD version
I think its worth using quality ignition components for sure. I would verify that that "crab style" cap does indeed correct the firing order like the Accel 8141R cap you linked. I thus far haven't read anything to indicate it does even though it "looks" like it does. You'll also have to buy new wires or re-terminate them depending on the style of cap you already have.

I have read a few forums about it, I think I'll pick one up to try it out before I put the car away for the winter....I have read reviews of the cap and no one says anything about having to change the wires but I see what you mean...

if you read this add at the bottom it says "Correct-a-cap type firing order"

https://www.msdperformance.com/products/distributors/distributor_accessories/parts/8017

and now I cam across a tune up kit which shows the wire ends and they are different than the hei ends...

I don't see any real benefit other than aesthetic. I've never had a problem remembering firing order or issues swapping caps or distributors.
