Be careful using my pics for reference. There is an aluminum block bolted to the trans, then the shifter is bolted to that in order to space the shifter further to the drivers side. This allows straight rods and heim joints for the shift linkage which of course give a very firm, positive feel. I've had several people comment they thought my car was an automatic because when I drive, i usually drive hard and thats how quick it can be shifted LOL.

that's a stock setup Camaro bell housing and Chevelle trans and shifter

Get the kit with the pedals unless you want to go with a hydraulic clutch. A lot of guys went with a F body stuff and modified the pedals. I am very happy with the mechanical clutch and it was a pretty easy install. The firewall boot was not included and the directions suck for the pedal install. I wish the brake pedal was larger and tried to fit the original but no go. Could modify it but then no rubber cover for pedal. I have driven about 500 miles so far and the downside is.... not enough horsepower🙁
There is a divot where you drill the hole in the firewall for the link and the frame should have holes to tap for the bell crank. Tap a fine thread metric bolt and use red locktite on bolts when you install. Let me know if any questions

I was referring to the front-to-back distance (pic is gone now for some reason) in relation to the seat track

The holes for the bell crank are already drilled in the frame but not tapped on my 82. Inside of LF fender. Sorry, was tired when posted. That is where you tap the holes and use the locktite. The engine block should be drilled for the other end of the bell crank

The small shinny round thing is the pivot in the block for the bell crank
