Wow, that is a nice Cutlass. It looks great to be 34 years old. Do you have any plans for the car yet?
They only thing I'd really change is put a cam and stall and rear end in it, the carb and distributer have already been changed so emissions is gone, exhaust is already done. The good thing is that this is the first gbody that isn't my daily driver lol so it'll be a weekend car.
 
If it's just a 307, no real point in changing anything drivetrain wise. Ain't broke don't fix it.
 
It's still a derpy 307 with what, 180hp max? The stock drivetrain is perfectly fine for that dog. Now, if the OP has plans for an engine swap, then by all means. The car looks perfect as it is, and if it works, why mess with it?

There are many people happy with a 307 and it's still doing it's job after all these years so there is no reason to criticize it.
