its an old buick park ave hood hinge they were on a couple of the mid 80's gm vehicles.

wow that regal is looking crazy awsome. man that car is clean too! Are you re-painting it? I am actually kinda fond of the white. Maybe white with a pearl color? idk its your car, but Im liking the trunk, does it still lock? or did you modify it to lock?

thanks, it uses the stock latch and location. the car is actually a light tan. and i am going to repaint it, but that will be a while.

well going to try to finish the trunk today, depending on how long that takes, possibly try to get the back seat back in. it looks like i move fast because i have my son from wed night until monday morning one week, then just wed night the following week, so then i bust my *ss to get sh*t done, so i end up having a full week to work on it straight.

Unforunatly i dont. A good thing with not having the front wheel wells is you can mount the hinge to the core support close the hood and mark your holes through the wheel well. Make sure you unbolt the hood from the factory hinge before you mount the new hinge (dont ask how i know) 😆 How are you locking the trunk down so it cant be pulled up from the back (near the rear window)? Cause on mine with it closed you could still pull up on the hood (near the winshield).

got the center support welded back in and spun to clear the trunk lid, had to notch out the sides of the lid for the center to tuck into in the closed position. didnt take a pic, but got the lid back on and it works much better. got the new arms to lock the front in all tacked together, but ran out of time to go get the hardware needed to test the arms out before the hardware store closed. I will stop after work tomorrow nigth and get what i need to try them out.
