as long as you don't turn it into a donk.
i am biased towards cars that go fast and handle well, but as long as you keep it driveable (which you apparently are) it's all good

u cant make a buick, olds or anything but a 1971-1976 Impala or Caprice into a Donk. (donk for donkey cus the impala emblem looks like a donkey.) - its those years body style.

1977 was the 1st body style of the BOX, boxy look.

last i remembered this was America.

yeah the term came from those year cars, just like the bubbles were a specific year and body as well, but the term donk has now just become common terminology for the lifted cars with large rims. the magazine dedicated to them is also called donk even though you will find donk, boxes and bulbbles it it as well as cutty's, regals etc... any car lifted with big *ss rims.

ok school's over boys and girls!

ya i got u, =). 80% tru... the Magazine is actually called "DB&B" AKA "Donk, Box & Bubble" if u read that mag they address the issue that any car lifted is NOT a donk, they're called "High Risers" or "Scrapers" (for sky scrapers) since there so high up, along with other names.
"donk has now just become common terminology for the lifted cars with large rims" - b/c ppl dont know the history thats all.

I like that regal though, i didnt knoww that there were diff stages of air shock/bags. i know som people get a few hydrolic switches too.
ALRIGHT NOW LETS CRUISE!!!

Ok got some more work done, cut the floor to allow the drive shaft to clear, also had to notch for the drive shaft clearance in the rear crossmember. i now need to notch for the lower trailing arms, but not sure how much that will yield me in drop. the uppers arms are really getting angled upward, once i get some more drop from the lower arm relief they will probably start to bind, i can extend them to relieve them , but will affect my pinion angle at ride height, so bottom line is: I dont think i will get it to lay frame on 20's without alot more extensive work like raising the rear arm mounts which will affect my back seat which i dont want to do. so i may need to decide: go down to 18's to lay frame, or keep the 20's and not lay. opinions? ideas? anything i am not thinking of?
Thanks

Get LOW hahaha
Its low enough man, looks like you could bottom out on a bug haha.
Nice work on the rear frame, did you use a frame jig?

nah, w/ the notches they are 4 pieces so you plate the frame, then do the top, then you cut the frame out and that eliminates the need for a jig or anything.

thanks
