The hate isnt because your making it a low rider trust me on that.
Its because your hacking the car up, not even the body thats replaceable, your hacking up the frame to almost guirntee that car will never be nothing but a frame dropping low rider again.
Which is one less car for the drag racers.

I dont hate what your doing at all, most low rider guys want to make the body and paint really nice, and the itneriors really nice aswell.
So I look at it as nice shape body panels and itnerior parts when you do decide to sell.
So with that said, yeah ofcourse we could use nice parts.
They arent easy to find anymore, expecially here in the salt belt.
So thumbs up, ill be watching this build 😀

so why would it be sold for parts? custom cars are sold every day, i have sold alot of custom vehicles and every one of them was sold as custom.

bottom line is this: every forum is ruined eventually because people with different tastes than what someone else is doing cant keep their ****ing mouths shut. if you don't like something someone is building then dont talk about it. Do you see me saying anything at all about your rat rod project? i obviously am not into that type of car or half of the others on here, it doesn't mean you guys are wrong or are ruining your cars at all, they just aren't for me.

love what your doing with it. alot of craftsmanship going into this project. i would like a lowrider someday maybe i will make one

I knew I was forgetting something. :blam:

IIRC I said I was gonna add a lowrider/custom section, and never got to it. Will get on that right now... and move the thread over...

got some more work done wednesday night, but ran out of gas and have my son til monday morning so won't be working on it again til monday night. The rear will be able to use a 265 35 22 and still lay frame, although i will be using a 245 35 20 right now.

Its no different than someone taking a 50s car and choping the top, channeling it and sectioning it. When they are done there isnt one original panel on the car. Some people like the original look and some like to make it their own style. Some people hate lowriders but some of them have more new original parts on them than a restored car. But if he were cutting up the back of the car the same way to tub it out for a ford 9" rear end and some 15x12 weld wheels with mickey thompson tires it would be ok. Whats the difference?

that is true, there is really no difference. It is just sad when any car gets chopped up for anything, but you look like you are doing a good job with it, all the fabrication looks good. what did you do in the rear wheel wells. i thought if you cut them out your panels will separate?

there is still supprt for the panels in the front and rear of where we are cutting. then i will be welding in some trailer fenders for tubs and a bridge cover so it will have more metall and support than factory and be much cooler too 😀

Hey whats up ya'll. Glad to see a lowrider section! I will definitely be showin face alot more on this site. Thought I was the only one on here with a lowLow.

i was just reading over some of the negative comments we have been hearing. funny thing is that most of the people on this site do NOT have a 100% stock car! a engine swap to a big v8 in my book is custom right?? people are bitching about a c notch but its ok to back half their car? hate on 17,18,20" wheels? they help your car handle better in most cases but its ok to run big drag tires and skinnys up front for going in strait lines?? what about the guys chopping these cars to pieces for circle track racing?? that makes me sick to my stomach seeing good cars destoyed. most of us building customs such as this one baby their car and are likely to do everything the proper way and the car will be around for years and years! sorry i had to vent, i get upset hearing some of the negative things from people

Another update here, got the smaller tires up front and the arms on now so no more binding at either end
the driveshaft hits now, so we have to notch for that and possibly raise the tunnel, not sure yet on that, also have to notch for the lower arms and reroute the brake lines. Also have to notch for the upper arms too. i need 2.25" to lay the frame in the back, then we have to move back up to the front.
