was wondering about your dash, shifter and door bezel stuff......is that aftermarket aluminium stuff? never seen that style EVER. only seen the black smoke bezels in later 442 years. where did ya get them?

Nope, that is stock. I have seen a few 85's before and they all come with that. It is very difficult to find that stuff in that condition.

I live in canada and I have a friend that has a 1985 canadian 442........and it does NOT have that trim. it is woodgrain like the rest of the 85 cutlass/salons.
I would be interested in trim like that for my other 85 salon. one I wanna keep stock, and the other I want to mix up a bit.
I would be intereated in buyin some of that trim if anyone has a line on some

peace

'85 and '86 442's had the same woodgrain trim as every other Cutlass.

'87 442's had silver trim.

Very nice 442. I have the same shifter, still contemplating on getting the shorter stick though. Though I would have preferred you went with an Olds 350 I must admit the 383 looks great.

Looking great!!

looks good, clean swap!

your interior trim i.e- dash vents, and door panel trim & shifter trim
did it come in that aluminized/silver? bc i cant find any replacement panels for the door panels and the shifter..thanx

See my post two above yours.

Haven't updated this topic in awhile, so here are some recent pics . . .

Here's a pic with the current cowl hood, not sure if I like it yet. The original black lacquer paint seen here has seen better days (still looks respectable though, surprisingly).

just replaced the master cylinder and brake booster (the orig. MC failed and dumped brake fluid in the booster, which created a vacuum leak). I still gotta cut those spark plug wires down to size and hookup the A/C plumbing. On the pass wheel well you can barely see an auxiliary fuse panel I had to install for the sound system, MSD box and some other items:
