Finally started ordering more parts. Decided to stick with the C heads that I picked up on craigslist and have the reconditioned. Also made a decision on the block and decided to go .060 over. Ordered wiseco flat top pistons and just waiting for them to come in so I can drop the block off. here's a couple of pics.

Finally pulled the 7.5 out and reinstalled the 8.5. Had a great time with my son helping me. Upper's and lower's are boxed, new rear coils, bushings and all new hardware.

ts been awhile but still working on my Cutlass. I did get the Th400 all built and complete. I am looking for a little help on the olds 455 Big Block, was wondering if the I have to change out the frame mounts for the motor. I know to use the big block mounts for the motor but was looking and there's only the 2 bolts for the frame mount. Could use some help please. ThanksI

You dont have to change the frame mounts. Use the motor mounts from your 260. I used new motor mounts for a 307 when I put the big block in mine..

I searched for a poly set they dont make them for an olds. Your local parts store should carry the anchor brand motor mounts. I do believe that part number is 2328 for the olds g body. If i remember right they were only $10 a side.

Thanks dodge that helps alot. I've been looking also but couldn't find them also. Going to order right after xmas along with my front end parts. Thanks again.

No problem! If you need to know anything just ask away. I just got done swapping in an early E block 400 bbo in mine. Fit like it was meant for the car.

Well I decided to drop everything in and make sure everything would fit and line up. I set in the motor, trans, crossmember and used the small block mounts. Everything went in great but with the deep oil pan it did make it tight. Now I have to pull it all back out and start on the engine bay. with it all in I decided to put some of the other parts on just to see what it would look like. Here's some pics.
