That car should haul AZZZZZ with the 454 in it. I bet parts are real expensive in Russia.

Hi all!
For a long time I was not at a forum, but work in progress.
All chassis already with new components.

Nightmare388 🙂
i hope my 454 will be about 350 hp.
Really with spare parts of a problem, on sale practically is not present. It is necessary to order all, cost up to 40-70 %+. Since recent time cost because of weight has increased, now 10 $ for 2 pounds weight. For example edelbrock air-gap intake has managed in 400 at cost 235 on Summit racing.

my friend's project malibu with stock 454 fuel injection and T10 already ride- it's crazy! 😀

Rusty frame (for 20 years in us, it's very rusty 🙂 )

after abrasive work

sandblasting

filler

and paint

Awesome work! It's expensive to build cars here in the US, huge thumbs up to you because of the added costs! Keep up the good work!

Hey MonteMadneSS, what are the plans for both cars? Which gets the 454, and what happens to the one that doesn't?

What's up with the Buick Regal(?) in the second picture, is that yours as well?

Excellent to see cars like this in Russia!

Cheers,
Aaron

That's really cool to see those cars in Russia! I have to admit a fascination with the cars of the former Soviet block and how people kept them running. Not to mention, the truly amazing make-do engineering exhibited by people on the still-communist island of Cuba.

Some of the engineering used to make cars in the Soviet Union was very interesting by Western standards, especially the 4x4 cars made by GAZ and Moskvitch, or the plastic bodied 2 stroke Trabants of East Germany. If I were rich, I would want to import one to use here as it would be a unique conversation piece to drive a Volga, or maybe a Zaporozets here in the US.
