idk there is something about a half built car or flat black paint. i just think it looks really good. but i wanna see how that hood comes out

Well, I finally made some progress. Got the Honda hood cut down and molded the scoop onto the Malibu's hood. It's not quite what I had pictured in my head but it'll do for now. After getting it fairly smooth I managed to spray some primer. This was also the first time I've sprayed with a gun. No runs, lol.
Fiberglassed on and somewhat sanded.

Starting to apply ans sand the filler. Front of hood was pretty bad from the previously welded scoop.

More filler!

First coat of primer.

Two more coats.

Thanks guys! And Blake there will be no slamming, lol. I'm only hoping for it to last a few years. Just hope it stays on at high speeds.

Made some more progress, but no paint yet. The car is sitting 95% masked ready for paint as long as the weather holds out. It just looks odd to me without the black though.

Well, it's painted!!! It's not perfect by any means but it looks better than it did. I don't think the humidity helped any. I will get some better pics eventuall but these will have to do for now.

In primer.

Back in black! The driver quarter looks like hell but oh well.

Now for the clear. I added some purple pear too. It's kinda hard to see in these pics though.
