Got the airbags in today. Not without incident, of course. I happened to notice that the clamp on the tailpipe was beating the crap out of the brake line and axle tube because the hanger broke. Had to fix that.
3" exhaust problems in the form of not enough clearance, Clearance, so the supplied heat shields were a no go. Remembered the 2 rolls of header wrap on the shelf, and off i went. Those DEI metal zip ties suck- need to revisit that.

New speedo gear installed, setting pinion angle now (it was 6⁰).

I'm trying, brutha. I really believe I can get daylight under the front tires.

Been trying to adjust the rear for hours; had it good, but off center. I can't express how confused I am by jam nuts and turnbuckles.

The uppers are good at adjusting pinion angle but do a poor job of trying to center an axle. Some people may have luck doing it but not me.

Somehow, I feel like a good night wrenching is better than a bad night at the track? I lost another 2mph on the big end, my rear suspension wizardry wasn't worth 2 sh*ts, and I still can't leave at 3000 on the 2 step with better than a 1.9 60'. 3 runs: best RT .0209, best 60 1.98, best 1/8 8.45, best 1/4 12.86, best mph 112.
I need to pull the distributor and inspect the brass gear. Then, back the timing down....
