Valve break or knock the keepers off?

side note- the rods appear to have not been the cause at from what I see. Unfortunately they’re looking like progressive damage?

So valve broke, rattled back into the intake and then bounced around the intake. Ish.

Are those Edelbrock valves?
 
The Edelbrock heads and valves are good quality. A stuck valve usually happens early on in the build, strange that it stuck after a good number of miles.

No broken springs? Were you pretty tight on piston to valve clearance? I've seen the head snap off of a lot of valves at the stem, but I've never seen part of the head snap off before.
