And, you're gonna need'em! Just busting balls; all good! :friday:
Absolutely, healthy banter received. 😁 (y)

Now get those injector bungs in a and lets see what that big olds will do with some modern fuel and ignition control. That was my plan with my 462" poncho I was building.
3? Why so few? Oh, I forgot, you have one of those JY LS's that you've shown some love 😉

I think he might need them :):) I know I do lol.

p.s. - bustin' balls is what makes it fun!
He's just jelly that I can have 3 1000hp motors/victims for the price of his connecting rods. :ROFLMAO:

I have to admit, I'm jelly of 'My Father's Oldsmobile' - it is truly one of the top 2 cars I'd have if I could afford it. I love this 442! The BBO just makes it better.

That's the rub: this car needs to stay BBO and 4 speed as part of the tribute to dad and his street racing days at the old drive in.
Turbos and EFI will definitely happen on the 66 and 78, maybe.

Good news! Block is in the machine shop, AND he found a honing plate! That has been quite the C19 adventure with shops scaling back and shutting down, plus, not too many places around here have Olds torque plates. At least it will be done right, hopefully.
In the meantime, I'm back on the intake for a minute, and started patterning the heat shield. I ordered some stuff off A-zon and was suggested flux, so I bought it. Then, I proceeded to spill it on the workbench because I thought it was paste. Nope, it's powder. It might be the missing link, or a waste of money.

Got caught up today until the shear gets here. Gonna try some metallic origami for the heat shield, and cut Revision C of the filler panels out of more BBQ shell.
