Figured I would start a thread to show the progress of my new lady..

How I bought her.. HATE HATE HATE the green flames...

Of course the previous "builder"(I will use that extremely loosely..) lowered her the wrong way..

So I ripped out the front end and ordered basically everything as it was all loose and shot after that...

NEW PARTS!!!!

Lowered spindles, lowered springs, new ball joints, new inner and outer tie rod ends, new sway bar links and new shocks all the way around.

Out with the old.. in with the new.. (Correct way to lower it vs idiot way to lower it).. looks like they cut almost 3 coils out..

cutting coils isnt wrong..its pretty expert in comparison to how many people heat up springs

how do you think your new springs were made?...they were cut from a long spring.....and I don't know how you think there were 3 coils cut from the old springs when your new spring are not the same as the old spring. Whats the spring rate of your new springs? By the way there are alot of idiots, including me, on this forum who have cut their springs.

I suppose... cutting is the lesser of the two evils... but still not the correct way..

No sh*t thats how they were made... but was the car not designed to have certain length spring to withstand the necessary weight and load of the vehicle????

Ive lowered vehicles by cutting springs before.... and the one thing they all had in common... they rode like sh*t after.. thus my comment.. because ive been there.
