It's even worse out here in Surprise, we have a private water company. The have raised their fees %36 over the last two years.

That sucks. My water comes right out of the ground and sometimes even the sky.
you have more than one private company and if you live on the wrong side of the street you can pay double of what your neighbor pays..it must be cheaper to drink beer instead of water

In Surprise alone, 13 water companies have staked claims on swatches of land. Many of the companies aresmaller ones serving areas that have no customers. The Surprise, El Mirage and EPCOR water-service providers have the most usersin Surprise, and their rates vary.
Surprise charges customers $33.79 for 9,000 gallons of water a month, while El Mirage charges $66.57, and EPCOR charges $53.23, according to a Surprise study."
We are stuck with EPCOR They have 1 inch meters on the two story homes and a 3/4 on the single story homes. In January they started charging commercial rates on all meters over 3/4 The guy next door to us has a two story with a pool. he got a $280 bill last month, Ours was $88.
Crazy. Water will be the next gas and there will be wars over it
