Get the number off the driver side rear of the block behind the head by the bellhousing.

The problem is, I've had blocks laying around before and I've seen where the numbers normally are... this engine has no numbers anywhere. Seriously. I'll post the pictures I have of the engine from when I first got it.... In the first picture under the wire loom to the left is where the number is supposed to be. I'll try spraying degreaser back there and looking again!

As for headers I used for mine are Hooker 2241's, They fit well, even with raised exhaust ports. They can be bought used for 2-400 dollars.
I tried the A-body Hookers I had from my 69 Chevelle, they wouldn't fit without cutting half the lower control arm mount off. Both sets had 2" tubes & 3 1/2" collectors.

So! I found the ID badge on the back of the engine... the numbers were ground off. I still have no idea what it could be. Thinking of pulling the engine after I figure out the power steering issue!

This has got to be one of the most beautiful and well thought out set-ups I've seen. Thank you for sharing. I'd like to see more pictures of the engine compartment and the way you ran the lines/fan/fender wells. Thanks!

Thank you, I'll see if I have any more pics of the engine compartment. As far as the lines, oil lines to remote filter on front side of core support on driver side. Accusump mounted to bottom of air box teed into oil line, and from filter to oil cooler mounted under passenger side of core support. Passenger side lines are fuel lines ( feed & return).
Fans are dual Intrepid fans wired to a simple high/low switch.

I try to post up some pics later.
