Need Help Running Fuel Line to Mechanical Pump

With an LS3 intake you can clock the fuel rail either direction. I'm not sure about all the different intakes though. If I remember correctly the fuel line hooks up at the driver rear corner of the intake in my 08 Sierra 5.3

Right, that's why I was asking.. I'd hate to move the lines only to need them there in the future. Thanks for the info! Hmmmm

Yes, new lines would be best which is what I'd rather do. The factory lines are excellent though. The wagon has under 50k original miles CA car.
Question.. If I ever go the LS route, which side is preferable? Pass/Driver?
I guess first you should decide what your actual plans are for your drivetrain and chances are if you end up going with a LS engine you will have to upgrade the entire fuel system including fuel lines.

Not a gbody but I did this on my 67 Lemans when my 326 was pulled and i put in a 454. Not "right" but worked good for me.

That's a slick set up- nice and neat. That would work and if he needed the original line later- there it is. I still advise hard line connections though. I hate rubber fuel line. I saw a car burn because of that.

Thanks and yeah I feel ya about rubber lines Bonnewagon. That's why I used line clamps to keep everything in check.

the ethanol in the gas is hard on rubber

They make alcohol resistant fuel line. It's the only kind you can buy at a Marine store.

On my brother's 78 Z28, we've basically done a 'frame off' restoration. When we replaced the fuel lines we were thinking we were going to go back with an SBC so we went back with stock configuration lines in stainless. We ended up putting a warmed up 6.0 truck engine in the car. When we got the LS3 Corvette intake the fitting on the fuel rail pointed to the driver's side but our fuel/return lines were on the passenger side. As I mentioned above, we just turned the fuel rail around and it worked out really well.
