With an LS3 intake you can clock the fuel rail either direction. I'm not sure about all the different intakes though. If I remember correctly the fuel line hooks up at the driver rear corner of the intake in my 08 Sierra 5.3

I guess first you should decide what your actual plans are for your drivetrain and chances are if you end up going with a LS engine you will have to upgrade the entire fuel system including fuel lines.Yes, new lines would be best which is what I'd rather do. The factory lines are excellent though. The wagon has under 50k original miles CA car.
Question.. If I ever go the LS route, which side is preferable? Pass/Driver?
That's a slick set up- nice and neat. That would work and if he needed the original line later- there it is. I still advise hard line connections though. I hate rubber fuel line. I saw a car burn because of that.
