New Chevy Adds

I actually don't like the 'in your face' advertising its like they're throwing their advertising at you. Guess it worked for dodge, look how many guys buy chargers and think they're fast.

I took it more like the muscle cars have been getting a bad rap for their shoddy workmanship and excessive engine size and their just saying that they were what they were and people back then loved them for it....I was growing up in that era so maybe it has more meaning for me than others..

I don't watch much TV and hadn't seen the one with the lawn mower...

thanks

I think it does mean more for the older guys. To me it looks like something chrysler would put up on the tv. I'm not into that, but I do love those cars.

I like chevy's advertising before this current thing, where they just advertised their own cars and built up an idea around them. Not tryin to compete and badmouth all the other companies. I think that was a big thing chevy had going for them, but then if you look at the whole spectrum maybe this new advertising will work out... like middle aged women just want to hear that lexus has nicer leather and buttons vs. chevy that has plastic and knobs.

custom...that link was sent to me but in all honesty I don't know if those adds are really up on billboards or if it is just someone taking a shot back at the imports....

ya I haven't seen them myself. They look legit though, I'm sure there up somewhere around the US. The thing is, they spend so much $ on advertising that they've already done all the research to where these boards would be most effective.

It's like a book I read about presidential campaigns once, didn't know they used to have completely different commercials and slogans for different regions before the internet got big.

you think everyone is the same until you see the adds in different parts of the country...heck even the same brand beer tastes different depending on where you are but that difference of flavor subsides after a few beer 😀 ...

speaking of, my favorite time of the year is coming. Winter seasonal beer season? Thats why I like christmas and new years. I usually gain 10 lbs every winter, cuz there's no incentive to drink nasty wattery or normal bad tasting beers through the rest of the year.

If no one has tried it yet, I recommend rahr and sons winter warmer ale. It's a dallas based brewery and you can get it at your local SPECS if they have it, I think these things come out sometime in november. IMO it's much better than Sam Adams winter lager, which I think is a step above their octoberfest.
