Hey everyone. My name is Kevin. I think I used to have an account here but it was along time ago. Couldn't remember the name or password. Anyways I'm going to say I'm new.
I've owned probably 15 gbody cars since high school in the mid 90's. First was a 87 regal with a 307, next was a 85 ttype, then an 87 turbo t, couple gn's, another turbo t. Also have owned a couple of cutlasses, and a monte ss. Two of the turbo buicks were 9 second cars, one was an 11 second car. I've been out of owning any cars for awhile now. Life happened, career change, kids, houses and a few boats. Before I went on the break, I was building a turbo 5.3 in my 87 turbo t, which was a mid 9 second car with the v6. Just wanted to try something different. Never finished it, ended up buying a new house and changing jobs. Kept the car for awhile, but ended up selling it when my intrest in it completely dropped out.
Last week, I was on Facebook and ran across a nice cutlass. The price was right. Needs some front end work, looks like it was involved in a slight fender bender. Verified that it only has 70k original miles. It's very clean and no rust.
No big plans for it right now. It runs very good. Going to finish fixing it and drive it. I know too well what happens when you turn nice drivers into race cars... They are not very fun to just get in and drive. Probably goimg to leave it stock for now and cruise around in it.
I will be learning around here for parts. Just wanted to introduce myself.

Here's a pic of when I picked the car up. I will upload a pic of my last gbody which was the 87 T also.

Thanks, good to be back!

The back looks way better than the front right now. Hope to get it on the road in a week or two

Welcome back Kevin. Sounds like you've owned some nice G Bodies. After the Monte Carlo, a Turbo Regal would probably be my next favorite G Body.

The Cutlass you picked up looks like a good starting point. If you can keep it as just a cruiser, you've got more self control than 95% of us here. Lol. Keep us posted on your progress.
