But it cost him much more to NOT do it the first time...

Dont worry about that one way or another it will come out of your pocket.

Either in money or quality....................

I hate to be such an asshat about it, but been there done that...

thankfully Consumer Affairs and the Courts sided with me............on 2 separate occasions

And they're back up... With high winds expected Friday. What a roller coaster.

BTW, does anyone else notice anything odd about the walls?

Looks like we got those winds traveling thru my part of Pa right now & they are pretty gusty round here. Hope they die down by the time they make it into NY.

No window openings
Or doors, or headers, basically you crawl in through a basement window and live in a pillbox. Ultimate in bug out security.

I also thought it was weird one random rim joist was sticking out into nowhere by a few feet. At first I thought design feature or start of a cantilevered... something. Porch, stair landing, whatever, except there weren't any others...

Yeah, I've never seen walls built like this before. I can't wait to get home...

Oh and tons on rain too so kiss that partial board or whatever that glued together stuff is called goodbye
The floors are OSB. It's actually quite surprising how much water they can take. We shoveled snow out of our house several times as well as the dozen or so times is was rained on. Still good and right after all that. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's never ideal to get them wet, but in the real world it happens all the time during construction. Not too concerned about it. Yet... LOL

I guess different areas have different building codes but theres a few things done that Ive never seen before. In my area the sheathing isnt put up vertically and the seams have to be staggered. Also a question. The one photo with the ramp, why does it look like theres a stud or a board at the corner and not plywood ? Something else thats done up in your area ?
