Other than Walker, who makes a stock replacement Y pipe for an 83 H/O application? 78-88
I have ordered 3 through Advance Auto and everyone of them are damaged, probably from shipping because Walker doesn't use shipping cartons. Besides the damage, the welds look like gorilla and the Y is not a Y its more like a y. One pipe leaves the other, not a true split. The bends are not as smooth as the original one either.
Yeah this sounds like I'm picky. I am. The car is bone stock low mile.

I did a bunch of searching on Summit. My conclusion is that you could buy a Camaro kit and rework the bend just behind the merge. Other than Walker, you don't have a lot of choices for stock G-body exhaust.

It's got a 2.3/5 so you know it's good.

The 83 Hurst uses the same crossover pipe at the motor as any other Olds from that generation. An awful set up. Olds should have put the FE3X's shorty headers and Y pipe on the Hurst/Olds and 442. With ram air, it was worth 30 HP. Anyways, I don't think anyone but Walker makes the after cat Y pipe that allows 2.25" dual mufflers and tail pipes. If your car isn't a show car, do that 307 a favor and buy the block off cap and get 2.25" dual exhaust bent up. A good bender can fit dual pipes under the passenger side, so you can keep your cross member.

I had the same problem when I ordered from Summit. I ended up calling Walker directly for a replacement. They sent me one from their plant. It was in better condition than the ones I received from Summit.
