This sounds like a fun project. I am sure some of the mods will be in your favor and some not so much. What kind of fuel pressure is it running? I don't think you will get in too much trouble running the engine it is when you get into boost you get in trouble. The only way you make boost is under a load. If you are worried about it unhook the waistgate rod for now. Good luck with your project.

For now stay with the TT chip. They are ery good. It will have some info on it so you can learn more about it. No alky kit? It needs octane for boost so it's possible the chip is for some level of race fuel or e85. The manual boost guage can just be dialed back, which is what I would do. The guage style sm is handy. It can do Bluetooth so if you eventually get a powerlogger (highly recommend ) it can connect to a laptop to wirelessly.

How adjustable is the stock ECU with the data logger and scanmaster? If you add a wideband O2 sensor and controller, can you tune directly with the wideband? The thing I find off putting about the scanmaster is the O2 reading in millivolts rather than a ratio. I know it works for many people, but I feel like I may have a steep learning curve, steeper than say having all the information broken down on tables and graphs like you can with a laptop connected either with a Megasquirt, Big stuff, Fast, Haltec, etc.

Not sure on the fuel pressure, that hood mounted gauge doesn't work... I'd like to replace it with an under hood mechanical gauge, and in interior mounted electronic one in the car.

Ideally I'd like to have the main dash with MPH, tach, boost, oil pressure, water temp, gas gauge. Then a wideband gauge, scan master, and fuel pressure on the A pillar, and a trans temp, and voltage on the center console (already has a console gauge pod with water temp and oil pressure just want to relocate them).

Actually I would like to minimize the use of pods if possible. I found some electronics website one time, that was selling digital gauges that had multiple functions, like a sweep boost gauge, with an LED egt reading inside. They were also selling little square digital gauges just mounted on a small square circuit board that could be hidden in a dash, for example in place of an idiot light.

I thought it was pretty cool, but I can't seem to find the company/website again.

PLX multi gauge could be an option for you. One gauge can monitor wideband, pressures, and boost. If you are getting a Scanmaster I think that will do the same thing.

poor thing, glad you saved it. Hopefully you'll get it back it's former glory. There's certainly enough support and expertise available to make it happen. Do you have any more pics? under the hood?

Oops, sorry for the repeat pictures. Don't know how to undo that, doesn't seem like that big of a deal though so I'll just leave it
