i,m picking up tomorrow 78 pontiac grand lemans 2dr .the book said it was a abody but it seems here its implied its a gbody ? just wanted to know for sure. thanks everyone have a good day !!!

From wikipedia: "The 1978 model year being the changeover year between the larger 73-77 body style and the reborn A/G platform. The Cutlass Supreme chassis being named an A body until GM changed the name into the official G body platform even though they were near identical, in 1981."
So yeah, GM called your car an A body until 81', but it is the same chassis as the G. For simplicity, it's a G Body.
