Would anybody know the vaccuum lines by color? RED line goes to a canister up in drivers side that I cannot see. I believe a door may be shut.

YELLOW controls a door behind heater core which appears to divert air UP (possibly defrost) or DOWN (possibly floor) although it appears to be normally DOWN.

I cant get air anywhere. As a makeshift test I made a small metal cone and taped it to my blow gun attachment and pointed it at the heater core. Cant get any trace of air.
Red & Yellow both goes to the bi-directional actuator
Dark Blue goes to the defrost door
Orange goes to the outside air recirculation door
Gray goes to the heater control valve under the hood
Violet/Purple goes to the checked supply under the hood
White goes between the to contol panel mounted control valves/switches.

Lo and behold i was able to get *some* air with my blow gun shoved way up in the duct. Lever on cold so bypassing the heater core. I am a little confused here. Is the blower supposed to be hard tied to the heater core? As in, not just blowing air at it, but ducted directly tied to it. See pic, if that makes sense. Thing is, i do not remember removing any type of shrouding that would have accomplished this. I also AC deleted a camaro at one point to make room for headers and did not have this issue then.

Inside all I seen was the air chute that blows air into the case with the doors controlling where that forced air can flow. I do wonder if you did the modification to the A/C case blower housing that needs to be readded back to the case.

Wow, amazing instructions. Thank you! No i did not modify the cover. Looks like it will be coming back off. I am going to attempt this with sheet metal as that is what i have access to

Actually. I found a housing cheap. The instructions you provided mention a silicon sealant to bond the pieces together. Is this the best way? I feel like silicon wouldnt stick that great?

That's their suggestion. There could be better bonding agents from 3M & Lord-Fusor.

Pagrunt, (or anyone else) I have a question for you. I did the heater box mod as suggested in your post. Just waiting on a fresh heater core…

I am looking at the existing core/ductwork. I see that if the blend door is open to COLD, the door covers the core and directs air into the ductwork. However if the blend door is set to HOT, the ductwork is blocked off?? The other side of the core seems to just dead-end inside the box ????
What’s wrong here?
