Pontiacgp you were right it was the turn signal switch the local shop put it on for lunch 20bucks.
One advantage being old is I've seen alot of diffent problems with cars..glad it's fixed and it didn't cost you an arm and a leg and they are honest people at that shop. Thanks for letting us know what the fix was.... 🙂
