No brake pedal with engine on. Help!

Looks like the Gettokid has hijacked my thread. Oh, well.

Anyway I gave up on my brakes and towed the car to Pep Boys. The "technician" worked on it half a day yesterday and bled it twice, but the pedal still goes all the way to the floor as soon as the engine starts. They're going to work on it some more today. I'm really curious to see what they finally find.

if they bled it properly once and there was something amiss why did they waste your money by bleeding it a second time? These hydraulic systems are not complicated. It's good that you brought it in to make sure about the brakes but I hope they aren't charging you for on the job training

sory jack. didnt mean to hijack the thread. i figured since your not alone and im having the exact same problem. let me know what they find.

ive been bleed brakes for years and never had a problem. i did get one of those vacuum pump brake bleeders since im doing it myself. then i tried the one man bleeder thing whcih ive used in the past.

Im going to grab someone and try it the old school way. if that done work. i dont know. ill hope it stops. lol

you can always let it gravity bleed one wheel at a time starting with the furthest from the master...it's helpful to have a beer handy to help pass the time...

Dont mean to sound like a dick but make sure the calabers are on the proper side, if their not ya will never be able to bleed em, cuz the bleeder is at the bottom. Its been done alot of times. good luck
