Bolts are 95mm long (approx 3-3/4"). Need 8. Plus the nuts. M12x1.75 on both. 10.9

GM p/n 11502603 for the bolts. Latest number shows 15556240.
GM p/n 11516073 for the nuts. 10 in a bag.

I live in TX (no rust cars) . When Ever I go, if there is a G Body I pull as many nuts/bolts as possible that just need a light cleaning. Got a bin full of them. (I like to use bolts with the correct head markings) I don't like the restorations with the box hardware store bolts I understand that sometimes that is all that is available.
Same here, although most of my scavenged / salvaged hardware is older - 70-72 A body. I do have four or five cans of the metric A/G body stuff, would like to find homes for it eventually, when get an ebay store up, but figured there was little to no market for the stuff.

Most body shops us the old bolt they take out if possible, if not they have those jobber bins that do not have the OEM head markings. BoltHeadMarkings (5).jpg

The local hardware store here in town, a local Ace 20 minutes away, local auto parts that carries AuVeCo hardware, any car in the bone yard.

99% of my restoration bolts are GM.

There is one nut particular to the G-body that is HARD TO FIND but it's kind of highly visible. And that's the master cylinder to booster nuts. They're flanged nylocks without much fanfare, but it's GREEN nylon. Most of the nut and bolt houses, and even GM, sells the brown or black or some other color nylon. But NOT the factory green. And I've never seen one of those come loose.

They look a lot like this, only with green nylon. Check them at a car show next time. GM replacements are just crimp style flange nuts. They're perfectly fine too, but not factory-supplied.

Yup you can't find the GREEN ones. Mine are the original ones. All the 2000s Camaros have black ones and most G Bodies I've seen in the pick and pull have been replaced by hardware stuff.

usually the ground, magic bolt box, random hardware stores, or arp. 😀

There is NO way you guys are finding the correct hardware and bolts at the local hardware store. I am not saying they will not fit but they will not be correct.

I don't mean to sh*t on 4 pages of positive responses but this thread is under the / Restoration.

These have to come from an OEM car or some of G body vendors. Kirban, Highway Stars, Classic Industries etc

I also frequent junkyards for quite literally 2 or 3 bolts sometimes.

I agree with Rt Jam. No Big Box Store has hardware that has the markings of the OEM installed nuts/bolts. I've seen many really nice restorations and the Lowes/Home Depot/Ace bolts that detract so much from the appearance, yes they are new bolts and they look so out of place. So I take my tool bag and any G Body in the pick and pull gets taken apart just for the bolts!
