Yep. Thanks all for your input. Just spent about 6 hours by myself in the driveway (was nice, 55* today) swapping on a spare flexplate I had. No more noise or weird vibrations. Steady rotation as well.
Currently going through this..what was the easiest way to replace it with out pulling to many parts off

Either pull the transmission or pull the engine. Whichever you think is easiest.

Make damn sure you got enough room under the car. At least a foot and a half maybe 2 feet. Transmission jack helps, or make a platform out of wood. If you have a sbc take your dist cap and rotor off so it won't hit the firewall. Cut up a 20.oz pop bottle shove it on the tailshaft and duct tape the sh*t out of it to keep spillage down. DO NOT FORGET TO UNBOLT THE DIPSTICK TUBE AND REMOVE KICKDOWN/TV CABLE.

Ok see I didnt know I had to remove the tv cable though I had enoght to pull it back
