Oil pan gasket

If it's a major leak, then the either the pan bolts are loose, or Pontiac GP is correct - it's something up higher. If it's minor, less than two drips overnite, then maybe, but I'd let'r go until the time was right for a rebuild, bearings, or an upgrade of some nature.

To do it right with a one piece gasket yo really need to lift the motor more than a couple of inches, and it's an easy job with the motor on a stand (out of the car).

It kinda looks like someone took a spray can of oil and sprayed under the car 😐

The good, it got undercoated, the bad it's a leak, possible bad leak! Other good news is it should be easy to lift up or pull because you just installed engine mounts.

It is easy as other have mention, the pan gasket itself is easy but the front an back seals can be fun.

As pontiacgp mention first find out where its leaking. Most of the time it's the seals in my experience. Front seal 70% but back seal if it's a 4 speed.

If its the gasket first just try to re-torque the bolts, might work. If that's doesn't work ofcourse replace gaskets and seals. Which means lifting engine, undo engine mounts, remove crossover an take off distributor cap in case hits firewall.

If it's the seals, try to re-torque nuts/bolts. If still leaks try undoing front or back of pan without raising engine, with a putty knife work slowly between edge of seal an gasket, just a little gap an push some silicone gasket maker between, normally at edge where gasket meets seal but coat it all that you can, re-torque an hope. It's worked in pass for me but it might not every time.
What do you mean "front/rear seal"? Front of pan and rear of the pan?

There are also a front seal in the timing cover and the rear main seal in the back of the crank. I have used the AMC 6 and Ford 292 neoprene 2 piece in place of the factory rope seal in my Olds V8's, one was a 403. The rear main seal leaks in the team torque converter cover. As said oil can get everywhere from up top. How is the 403 running? Still down on power?

Actually it runs pretty good. It's got a built 403 from previous owner. Spins tires pretty well to. Might need a bigger carb tho. But good cruiser car with good torque. Has the 200r4 transmission too
