Oil pan hole

The 14 bolt oil pan was used for several years so that part is not specific to 80.

Not valuable? Says who? And being a one year specific vehicle I'd say that's pretty rare unlike 81-87. Except for the engine everything else is exactly the same LOL how many 80s are you going to find out there??
Says everyone not on drugs. The part is probably worth $20 used, and, it's not one year only. They used a 14 bolt pan through 1984 on the 231 engine. In fact, you can interchange the 4.1 252 v6 pan as well.

Again, that 14 bolt pan is neither rare, nor valuable.

Replace it.

And that always comes back to bite you when you're looking for parts.

I'm how do you replace it with a bolt when the metal the hole is in is 1/8" thick not threaded??

This post makes no sense.

All engine blocks are threaded for oil pan attachment. Remove the old oil pan and throw it away or make a toy out if it for a kid, and then install a replacement one.

QED.

Sounds like what you're talking about is neither a bellhousing nor an oil pan.

It sounds like you're talking about the inspection cover that covers up the flywheel from underneath, and, would have a small hole in the center that allows oil that makes it past the rear main seal to drain.
