Oil question

i am changing my oil soon on a 1986 307 Vin 9 and was wondering what oil/ brand to use or what other people use in their vin 9 engines. and what oil filter

Just a standard 10w30 conventional motor oil with a good NAPA GOLD 1522 filter would be sufficient :wink:

Ritter..did you know the Napa Gold is made by Wix and if you add 5 to the front of the Nappa Gold number you'll get the Wix filter number for that application

Their main factory is right down here in Gastonia, NC. Its only like 35 minutes from my store. I would like to go check it out someday.

Yes, it will work as well. The 1045 is a slightly longer filter, so be sure there will be no clearance issues. It's only like 3/8" longer so it shouldn't be a huge deal :wink:
