This guy put 30 over Olds 350 pistons in it and stroked the factory crank to make a 380ci stroker much like the common chevy 383. Ran 10.60s at 124 to 126 mph in a heavier A body with heavily ported stock heads. The link shows he is now building an 425ci Olds diesel block.

Its not commonly known so if you really want to get rid of it advertise it on www.realoldspower.com or www.oldspower.com where people know what they are. It may not bring big bucks but at least it won't go to waist.

yea people have told its a good one. its also some kind of high compression motor?

They are high compression and higher revving engines. It has a factory forged crank. Depending on the cam bank angle an lifter size, it will have the same aftermarket support of any other Olds small block.

I just hope you did not scrap it.

i almost bought a 67 olds with the 330 and the reason i strayed away from that was that i could not find an aftermarket cam for it. just the olds 350.

You just need to call up the cam company and have them do a custom grind. It would be the same cost of any other SBO cam.

If you wish to get rid of the Olds 330, post what you want for it in this thread, (as people are already viewing it) and also put a For Sale ad on the forum. It's free, and someone might want it. If all you want is to get it out of your yard, I am sure there is someone who would come and take it for you for free too. I did that for a rear axle I had spare that I wanted gone. I figured it was better to give it away than get nothing for it as scrap. That way, at least someone got use from it. Besides, karma has a way of coming back to you when you need it.

looks nice, but is that paint on the timing chain?

well looks like i got a baby coming some time this weekend. i really wanted to drop the 350 in this weekend. oh well looks like its on hold for a little bit.
