I'm not really sure, I always thought that the centerbolt valve covers always meant vortec heads but then someone told me I was wrong about that, So I really don't know for sure, I do know that the vortec heads alone add around 40HP

From my understanding vortec heads use the centerbolt valve covers too. I know for sure the regular ones dont and I am only aware that the vortec use this style. I think the guy didnt know completely what he was talking about unless both of use are wrong

The centerbolt vavle covers does not mean vortec head as the 88-94 350 TBI motors had center bolt VC... casting number would be the best way to ID the heads.

does anyone have a shortcut to get the motor mounts out and in? there seems to be no way to get under the mount to hold the bolts. looks like you might have to pull the springs or something?

ok finally got the old mounts off and the new ones on. then i had a prob with the mounts on the motor not lining up to frame mounts. i read another post about that and i also have truck mounts on the engine.
