I bought my 4 port regulator specifically so I could mount it forward of the carb so I could route the lines cleanly and keep it out of the way.

Not the best solution, but it works? Short of moving the regulator, I don't see another solution. I do wear corrective lenses though......

I think I am going to cut the regulator bracket and make it longer to clear the air cleaner.

I assume the bracket is "cast" and thus you cannot bend it out of the way of the air cleaner ? Def looks to be room to bend it down pulling it closer to the carb and bend the tip of it back up on a 45 deg angle to clear the drop base. Otherwise maybe its time for a tin airbox and put the hood scoop into full time action ?

Only other thing I can think of is, is there a bigger diameter filter out there, like 15"? Probably just a dumb idea.

Moroso makes a 16 inch but before I spend the money on it I would have to see it.

it doesnt look terrible, I assume with that carb, intake and 2" spacer you dont have the flat hood anymore?

2 inch cowl but been wanting to go with a 4" for a while.

So this may be the time to do it
