The 1/4" plugs we're refering to are NPT threading and will work even though the threading in the heads isn't really tapered. Technically, I'm pretty sure you need a 5/16" inverted flare plug for perfect fitment ( like the Dorman Part no. 490-492 ) , but the commonly available 1/4" NPT plugs work fine.

I just tried to see that link but it doesn't work,the emissions parts are just taking up space and I want them gone. Somebody please help!!!

Did you guys hear him? Mr. Bandit wan't the broken link gone, so you better do what he says or else!

I have a request too. There are alot of broken links in some of the older threads from years ago. I want them all removed or working by sundown or I will be very upset.

Seriously Bandit, WTF?

You misread what I wrote due to the fact I wrote it wrong the emissions crap is what I want gone. But thanks anyway for your help. I will edit my post.

Well now that makes more sense! :wink: Hopefully others will learn from this; proper punctuation actually means something! Who'd a' thunk it?

So how can I get rid of all that crap I just got headers for my limited and I want all the part that don't mean ish off the car

its simple take the smog canister off take the pollution pump off and please please take off the egr and block it off, now the valves have to breath put a valve cover breather on the driver side and keep your pcv valve. and put the compressor and the compressor belt back on you will need it, once you do all that you should get at least 60 to 70 more horse power you can feel it i promise. check my links viewtopic.php?f=24&t=32114 and here the car is running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3SO4lP0Tpg

Sorry dude, I'm calling you out on this! At least 60-70 HP from removing an AIR pump, installing a breather, and deleting the EGR? And to boot you 'promise' this gain too? You need to put the crack pipe down! Drugs 'er bad 'mkay.

Before I get into anything here, Bandit, you need to do a search here because this has all been gone over before, once by me in detail and I'm sure others as well.

Now back to the 60 minimum horsepower gain.....

Two90west;

First off, removing the AIR pump will gain you about 1-3 HP from not running the belt and you could maybe get another 3-5 or so by removing the extension tubes that protrude into the exhaust ports on the heads. These gains are just guesses based on logic and physics. Removing the EGR gives you exactly 0 HP because the EGR doesn't work at WOT. Lastly, a breather won't give you squat either, not to mention the factory already has a 'breather' installed and just has the extra pipe coming off of it that goes to the air cleaner instead of venting into the engine bay, so there's no need to go out and buy an aftermarket breather.

Not trying to be a dick here, but you promising 'at least' 60-70 HP gain from doing basically nothing is just laughable :lol: . It's againsts the laws of phyisics and common sense to expect anything even remotely close to 60-70 HP from those mods. You wouldn't get that gain if you added a set of custom tuned headers along with a top notch ported intake manifold too. Your mods gave you a single digit HP gain at most and you would most definately not feel it.

So let's be realistic here from now on shall we?
