Well back then they had leaded gas. But maybe has the higher 10:25 compression, so will need 92oct. But the 330's ranged from:

I picked up the 330 and I am very excited about it. 320 hp as it sits! It does have the Rochester carb 4 barrel and it has points, lol. However the motor is very clean. Starts right up, no smoking, knocks. Sounds good too. You can tell it has a nice cam but specs are unknown. Figuring its stock. Im going to change the intake to an aluminum, change the points, fuel pump and a few little things and run it.

Congratts. Instead of new points, get an HEI Distributor

The points are def changed to a HEI. Any leads on a 4brl intake anyone?

I would look for a factory 82-85' A4 aluminum intake from a 307 at your local pick and pull. They flow as good as an Edelbroke and can pick them up for $50 or less. Just make sure it's and A4 and not the newer A5 version.

Just an FYI, for 1985, they were mostly A5 intakes on the roller 307 engine . . EXCEPT for the 307 HO for 1985, which stayed with non-roller (and thus the A4 intake).

The roller 307 had tiny intake ports, tiny exhaust manifolds, and the A5 intake with the small runners. I've heard the whole setup described as "breathing through a coffee straw"
