Operation Lipstick on a Pig

Well, today wasn't exactly inspiring... I took the mid-pipe to 2 different shops to get an estimate. 1st guy called the car just by looking at a section of pipe laying in the bed of the truck (impressed me!). He used to bend them at a Midas or Mieneke. He informed me of the complex bend at the back, and said it would kink; he'd rather not. We bantered back and forth- end result: 1hour labor plus pipe= about $150. 2nd shop, "yeah, we can do it (no mention of problems), $175".
So, I think I'm building a custom exhaust. I can get mandrel bends and straight pipe from somewhere for less than what they want, and make it the way i want it.
Once I got home, I threw in a little wrench time. I got the O2 sensor lead back where it needs to be (not easy, big pry bar involved) since it flipped back over the lift bracket. I hooked up the HVAC lines, installed the A/C compressor, zip tied some harnesses, and fired it again just because I can.

put headers on it and duals

That's an interesting question, so I stuck it in the Google machine. The only thing I found was a Transmaxx on Rock that lists "medium stall speed", WETF that means. It's the same converter for 3.08 or 3.42 gears on the AC part number.
The medium stall D9 2004R converter flash stalled at 1900 RPM behind my 8 to 1 Olds 350 and 403.

I got a stupid idea.... I bought these crazy *ss H3 LEDs awhile ago, and was thinking of making DRLs. I'd put them on NC relays that get interrupted by the park lights or turn signals. Watcha think?

Take it from someone that used to make headlights for a living...those housings are a relatively low temperature polycarbonate. That bulb will be less than a half an inch from the top and bottom of the housing. It will melt, and quickly.

Those bulbs put out a ton of heat and there are no vents in those housings to dissipate any of it. Normally in that application they use lower wattage bulbs to keep the heat down. It would work with a single row LED bar if you could get the lens off of the front.

Not trying to kill your idea, just trying to save you a set of somewhat hard to find turn signal housings.
