My first foray into differentials was a learning experience to say the least. I put the shims back like it was - way too tight. Flipped the shims side to side- it worked, but found a cracked shim which promptly broke. So, I'm getting closer to driving the Pig, but not quite....

The one that broke was .235; I had a .255 from the Auburn I got and jammed it in. That wasn't a good idea.... Ima tryin get another .235 tomorrow.

A little update: my buddy had a correct shim at his shop; I'm meeting him after work. Carquest came up nil on spider gears, so I ordered the Yukons I had 2 weeks ago (ugh) from Summit. I guess tonight will be replacing the pinion seal that I mangled during install, the S-10 rear wheel cylinder upgrade with braces, and starting on the mid-pipe/ exhaust...

As soon as I seen it I went out back to see if I had another housing...I don't not out

I changed gears, and tried to put the new wheel cylinders in. Cordless died, electric was too fast, dulled 3 bits, broke a bolt, line might be leaking, why is this fun again?
