In case you get tired of the raspiness? How much front-back room ya got under there now? This will get a bit of cabin drone if I’ve got like a 40mph headwind, pulling my trailer up a hill, etc but (as you all no doubt know) these Gen One Tacomas are a “beer can on roller skates”. Used the same exhaust components on the F150 V6 Eco”busted the entire time I owned it - eventual dealer buy back” but it sounded decent too.

14” MBRP polished resonator into a 22” Magnaflow, all 2 1/2” stainless. I wish I still had the F150 video because I had the sense to put the camera closer to the freakin tailpipe. Just a mellow rumble but none of that raspiness.

So I guess the bottom end noise in this engine turned out to be nothing important? Sweet that it's running well. Sounds pretty good to me. GM V6 is an aquired taste.

Garth, yes, I am considering a 3" resonator at the y-pipe. We had one of those torpedo heaters going all last night, so I think the hearing may have been slightly obscured. It's s pretty loud today. I looked at Ding How hairdryers on eBay today- $98 is very tempting.....
Turbolq4, the bottom end was a spun #3 rod bearing. I rebuilt it last spring.

This is intervention... You need to clean shop! I love that car by the way. I would like to build a daily driver just like, but maybe blue.

I remember you rebuilding it but thought it made some noise and had oil pressure issues afterwards??

I'm so damn busy I can't remember what day of the week it is. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!!

Good I thought I was the only one who had a garage like that.
